1996 Happy 90th Birthday Aileen Soule

Bruce Soule surprised mom Aileen Soule on her 90th birthday with a party at the Outrigger. Aileen is a two-time Olympic Gold Medalist.

1996 Queen Liliuokalani Long Distance Races

Outrigger's Golden Masters Men won their event in the QL races in Kona: Scott May, Fred Lowrey, Mike Town, Norm Ho, Tom Merrill, Kawika Grant, Tay Perry, Greg Robertson and Norm Dunmire.

1996 OCC Tennis Team

Betsy Duncan Hammes had her "star" placed on the Palm Springs Walk of Fame.

1996 New Outrigger Sous Chef

The Outrigger welcomed Kelley Heldt as its new Sous Chef in July. The Food and Beverage Executive staff are Chef Manfred Pirscher, Dining Room Manager Liz Ventura, Sous Chef Kelley Heldt and Food and Beverage Manager Don Figueira.

1996 Distance Racing Season

Outrigger's upper division men paddlers transitioned from regatta season to distance season with strenuous workouts: Marc Haine, Todd Bradley, Mark Rigg, Courtney Seto, Walter Guild, Coach Mike Mason and Chris Kincaid.

1996 Olympic Games, Atlanta

Todd Duplanty, Kehau Kali and Cale Char watched Todd's brother Chris play water polo in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. Chris was captain of the U.S. Team and starting goalie.

1996 New World Swimming Record
