1915 Duke Kahanamoku and Norman Ross
Duke Kahanamoku and Norman Ross were the premiere freestylers at the 1920 Olympics. Duke won the 100 meters, and Ross won the 400 and 1500 meters. They were also on the winning 4 x 200-meter freestyle relay team. They met in 1915 after an American exhibition team came to Hawaii for an AAU swimming meet.
