Outrigger hosted the first open ocean water polo tournament since the 1920s in Waikiki. Four teams from Rainbow Aquatics, Hawaiian Islands Water Polo Club and the Outrigger competed.

The tournament was won by the Rainbow White team. Second place went to Rainbow Green. Outrigger was third and HIWP was fourth.
