More than 30 Junior 'Riggers turned out for the Volleyball Clinic at the Club on Saturdays during December. Two keiki in the photo learned their lessons well and went on to play on Olympic volleyball teams. Lindsey Berg, fourth from right in the front row, was on the 2004, 2008 and 2012 teams, as was Clay Stanley, back row, third from left.
1991 Junior Volleyball Clinic
Clayton Stanley. Thirteen years later (2004) he was named to the U.S. Olympic Team where he placed 4th, went on to a Gold medal in 2008 and was on the 5th place team in 2012. He was MVP and captain of the U.S. team in the 2008 Olympic Games.
