1998 HCRA State Championships
Outrigger left the 1998 HCRA State Championships thinking it had won by one point, only to discover six hours later that it had lost by eight points. Two races were so close that officials reviewed video tapes over and over. In the end the Outrigger Boys 13 won and Kailua was second. Kailua's Novice B women won and Outrigger didn't have a crew entered. The final score was Kailua 270 and Outrigger 262.
