Before the race started, Eovino didn't know if he could enter due to leg problems. His running group presented him a signed finishers shirt signed by all, congratulating him on his birthday. That gesture gave him the push he needed to run. He finished 150th out of 200 runners, walking the first half of the course, and jogging the back half.
