2007 Kaoloa Blessing
Outrigger's koa canoe Kaoloa was blessed on June 2 following extensive renovations to bring it into compliance with the Hawaiian Canoe Racing Association's standards. Kahu Thompson conducted the blessing, with Dome Gose who skillfully replaced the non-wood parts of the canoe with koa, Head Coach Kehau Kali and Canoe Racing Committee Chair Jen Bossert.

All non-wood parts of the Kaoloa have been removed and replaced with koa to meet new canoe specifications dictated by the Hawaiian Canoe Racing Association.
