The Outrigger Canoe Club's koa canoe Kakina was renovated to bring it into line with HCRA specifications for a koa canoe by OCC Master Craftsman Domie Gose and Billy Yasay. OCC bought the canoe in 1936 and has raced the canoe for more than 70 years.
2009 Kakina and Mana Ula Blessing
A new fiberglass canoe was added to the Club's fleet. It was named after a canoe built in 1977 by Tommy Conner and carried Club crews to the Molokai Hoe championship in 1977 and 1979.
