1967 AAU National VB Champions
Outrigger's first-ever National AAU Volleyball Open Champions won their title by defeating the West Side Jewish Center of Los Angeles in a double final. This team also won the Hawaii State Championship. Front: Mike McMahon, Ron Sorrell, Pete Velasco, Colin Chock, Mike Holmes. Back: Tony Crabb, Tom Haine, x, x, Dave Hendrickson, Carl McGowan, Coach John Lowell, Dodge Parker. Haine and Velasco were selected for the Pan American Games Squad. Velasco was named first team All-American and Haine was honorable mention. Lowell was appointed manager of the Pan Americn Games Team, and McGowan was selected by the State Department to study volleyball in Poland.
1968 National AAU Volleyball Championships
Outrigger Canoe Club successfully defended its National AAU title by winning the 1968 title in Seattle. Front: George Sarantos, Carl McGowan, Dodge Parker, Wally Young. Back: xx, Coach John Lowell, Paul MacLaughlin, Jon Stanley, Tom Haine, John Alstrom, Colin Chock, Pete Velasco, xx. Selected to the All-Star team were Haine, Velasco and Stanley. The team was runner-up in the USAV National Championships a week later in Portland, Oregon. Stanley and Velasco were were first team all-America and Haine and Alstrom were named to the second team. Selected for the U.S. Men's Olympic Team tryouts were Haine, Velasco, Stanley and Alstrom. Lowell is the manager of the 1968 U.S. Olympic team.
1968 Outrigger Places 4 on the Men's Olympic Volleyball Team
Four members of the 1968 Outrigger Canoe Club two-time national AAU championship men's volleyball team were named to the U.S. Olympic team in Mexico City. Their coach was named manager of the team. Manager John Lowell, Jon Stanley, John Alstrom, Tom Haine and Pete Velasco.
1969 National AAU Champions
Outrigger Canoe Club was the runner up in the 1969 National AAU Volleyball Championship in St. Louis, Missouri, losing in the final match 16-14. They had won the tournament the previous two years. The team: Paul MacLaughlin, Colin Chock, Tony Crabb, Chris McLachlin, Fred Hiapo, Dodge Parker, official, Wally Young, Chris Crabb, Mike McMahon and Ron Sorrell.

Outrigger Canoe Club's Masters Men's volleyball team competed in the National AAU and USAV national championships. The masters lost to Balboa Bay Club in the Senior Division finals. The team: Coach Ron Sorrell, Peter Balding, Fred Noa, William Heilbron, Pete Velasco, Bob Kashare, Fred Hiapo, Colin Chock, Tom Haine, Mark Lawson, Mike McMahon. Haine and Velasco were selected to the first team All-America.

Row 2: Ilmar Tarikas, Ralph Smith, Jon Andersen, Mike Cote, Jon Hanley, Mark Rigg. Hanley was named Rookie of the Year. Rigg and Buck were named to the first team All-America team.
